
Responsibilities
- Managing grants and other projects related expenses, ensuring the appropriate and timely accounting and support.
- Monitoring and analyzing the expense reports submitted by the IATTC field offices and coordinating payments for these expenses.
- Monitoring and providing support to the Vessel Assessments program, ensuring an accurate record of the corresponding payments in the IATTC accounting system.
- Providing comprehensive support for all administrative and financial processes and activities as necessary, particularly regarding preparation of accounts payable into the IATTC accounting system.

Biography
Paulina Román is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She joined the staff of the IATTC in March 2023. Before her tenure at the Tuna Commission, she served as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper at Engel Chiropractic Office for nearly 18 years, where she managed the office accounting responsibilities. Prior to relocating to the USA, Paulina accumulated 10 years of experience in the accounting department of Radio Centro / Radio 101.3 La Estación in her home country.
