
Responsibilities
- Supervision and monitoring of all the accounting and financial movements of the Commission and its Secretariat, with particular emphasis on the follow-up and analysis of the expenses incurred in different areas.
- Reconciliation and updating of bank accounts, ensuring payments and collections of outstanding accounts.
- Preparation and updating of accounting records,
- Participation in and support for the preparation of external audits of the Commission and its Secretariat.
- Planning and organization of month-end and year-end accounting closure.
- Formulation of recommendations for the continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Biography
Claudia Hernández was born in Tijuana, Mexico. She is also a US citizen. Before joining the IATTC Secretariat in 2023, she had the opportunity to work as an administrator and accountant in national companies, as well as in reputed international companies operating in Mexico and the United States.
